With the possible exception of the Elephant Man, everyone makes a good photograph! Despite claims that “I never look good in photographs; my face will break your camera”, it is always possible to create a flattering portrait picture that you and others will admire. It is very much the case of getting the scene and lighting just right, the person being pictured relaxed and natural – and taking the exposure at the right time.

A photo-shoot in your home can cover all these points. You are in your familiar surroundings and you can change more easily into various outfits to wear throughout the shoot. My portable lighting and backdrops can easily be accommodated in most living rooms or can be used outside in your garden if you wish. Alternatively, you may just wish to have the surroundings of your room as the background. That way you can have photographs taken that look like those published in “Okie-Allo” magazines!

Unlike some high-street walk-in studios, I do not have set poses for models to adopt. Everyone is different – and how a person is portrayed is very much dependant on how they want to be portrayed. It’s all up to you. Having said that, I’m always happy to suggest poses and stances that will show the model off to the best – but it’s your photo-shoot and I’m happy to photograph you exactly how you want and for you to feel comfortable being photographed that way.
